Day 1 Badaling Great Wall, Ming Tombs

After breakfast, your Beijing local guide and driver will pick you up and take you to the famous Badaling Great Wall. It’s regarded as one of the nine most strategic fortresses in China. As the essence of Ming Dynasty Great Wall, the Badaling Great Wall is majestic and magnificent and surrounded by lush forests. The entire section is divided into Northern Great Wall and Southern Great Wall by the Guancheng. The northern section is more about the watchtowers, while the southern section is more about the landscapes. As Badaling Great Wall is the first section of Great Wall that has been exploited, it’s equipped with best facilities, which makes it the most popular sight in Beijing.

Your lunch will be arranged at a local restaurant at the foot of the Great Wall.

Your afternoon tour will proceed to the Ming Tombs. They were built in a valley surrounded by mountains and clear waters with greatly beneficial Chinese Fengshui. These are the tombs of 13 Ming emperors, 23 empresses, and many imperial concubines, crown princes and princesses after the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) moved its capital city to Beijing. The unique ensemble of cultural landscapes is evidence of a cultural and architectural tradition that surpassed the Ming Dynasty and had an everlasting impact on Chinese history. One of the must-see sights in Ming Tombs is the Sacred Way. It is the main way leading to the thirteen imperial tombs inside the scenic area.You will see 30 lifelike stone figures and horses lining on both sides of the road, giving solemn atmosphere.




At the tour end, you will be escorted back to hotel for rest.
