Day 1 Day 1: Terracotta Army, Cave Dwelling, Jingdi's Tomb

09:00: With a sunny smile, your tour guide will greet you at your hotel lobby. Your day tour commences. You will head for the Terracotta Warriors Museum first.

09:50: Arrive at the Terracotta Warriors Museum. Your guide will explain every detail of this museum and its history and facts. You will be fed with tons of knowledge. As the world’s eighth wonder, the Terracotta Warriors Museum represents the highest level of clay craftsmanship. It also provided a great source for historians to study the Qin Dynasty and the preceding history. Through the visit to the Terracotta Army, you will gain a general idea of how prosperous the Qin Empire used to be and what ancient people held dear in their afterlife.




12:30: Savour the most authentic local lunch (lunch is for your own account). Xian is one of the famous food cities in China. For lunch, you will be faced with a variety of choices such as a Chinese Hamburger, Baozi (steamed stuffed bun), Spicy soup, Tofu Jelly, Deep - fried dough sticks, Pita Bread Soaked in Mutton Soup, Biang Biang Noodles, Guokui, to name but a few.












13:30: Visit a local family living in a Traditional Cave and learn about the local farmer’s lives. It’s hard to picture someone actually living in a cave, but people do indeed. In fact, it was pretty popular back just a few decades ago in Shaanxi Province. Believe or not, the cave dwelling was comfortable. It’s very cool in the hot summer and warm in the winter. Some people in the northern part of Shaanxi province still live in such a way today.

14:30: Set out to the Hanyangling Museum, also called Jingdi’s tomb. It is located at Zhangjiawan Village, about 25 kilometers north of Xian City. It is the joint tomb of Liu Qi, a notable emperor of the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC-220AD), and his empress, Empress Wang. It was built in the year 153 AD, and covers an area of 20 square kilometers. This mausoleum combines modern technology, ancient civilization, historical culture and garden scenery in the largest museum in China.




17:00: Your day tour comes to an end. Your guide will accompany you back to your hotel.
