We had an amazing time on our day-tour in Xian. The tour was a full day. We started with a visit to the Terracotta Warriors, this is about an hour drive from Xian. The museum is busy but well worth it. After seeing the warriors we were taken to lunch at a local spot, while it seems to be popular with other tour guides, taking their guests, it was also populated with locals. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Our only issue is there were no cold drinks, they had bear which was a little cooler than room temperature, and there was no cold water. After lunch we headed back to Xian, to the old city walls. We opted for a short bike ride through the most scenic portion of the wall. Our last stop was to the Bell Tower and a walk through the busy Muslim neighbourhood.
Our tour-guide Cathy was awesome. She knew the best rout through the Terracotta Warriors museum, and knew all the good photo spots. She had lots of great information to impart, and was incredibly friendly and professional. She even took photos of us throughout the day and emailed us the pics.
We arranged our airport pickup and drop off with Lily's Private Tours as well, which was really convenient. The car was clean and offered bottled water, and our driver was professional and on time.
