Kunming, known as the "Spring City," is the capital of Yunnan province. It's located in the middle of the Yunnan - Guizhou Plateau, where tons of mountains prevail. Situated in the west plain of Sichuan Basin, south-central part of China, Chengdu is the capital city of Sichuan Province. During the last 3000 years, Chengdu city has served as the political, economic, and cultural center of the province and an important transportation hub connecting cities from all directions in China. Suzhou is regarded as a human paradise by the Chinese literati and the "Venice of the East" by Mark Polo. The abundant water has nourished the city for thousands of years, making it one of the ideal cities for living.
