Day 1 Airport pick up, Terracotta Warriors Museum, Airport drop off

Time (to be determined): Your local tour representative will hold a welcome sign with your name written on and wait for you at the baggage area of the airport upon your arrival. After being picked up, you will go straight to the one and only destination of today - Terracotta Warriors Museum. If you arrive in the morning, we will take you to lunch before enjoying this half day trip.

You are going to see 2,000 life-size Terracotta Warriors and Horses in a real battle formation. They were buried underground for over 2,200 years and were made for protecting the Qin Emperor's afterlife. The visit to the museum covers three pits in original sites: Pit 1 as the principle combating force, Pit 2 as the mechanized troupe and Pit 3 as the underground command center. Extra exhibitions can also be seen in the museum, like the Bronze Chariots found about 20 minutes to the west of the emperor's mausoleum, terracotta acrobat figures and some bronze weapons. It is definitely a treasure house of the rich history and culture of the Qin Dynasty and it's definitely a must-see site for people who are interested in Chinese history.

After the tour, you will be transferred back to the airport and get ready for your next flight.

If you are arriving in Xian in the afternoon, you will be taken for dinner before heading for the airport.
