As you admire the grand Terracotta Warriors and Horses formations, a question may strike you, how did ancient Chinese people manage to accomplish such a masterpiece using primitive techniques? That’s when we will take you to a local cave dwelling where these techniques are best preserved. All the mystery will be unveiled and you can try your hand at making miniature versions of these great soldiers.

2. Admire the craftsmanship of a local artisan in a cave dwelling;
07:30: meet your tour guide in your hotel lobby and take a 50 minute drive to the world-famous Terracotta Warriors Museum. This museum is built on the site of the funerary objects of Qin Shi Huang’s Mausoleum. The tomb is yet to be excavated, but the accompanying Terracotta Warriors and Horses were discovered in 1974 by some farmers digging wells nearby. A grand underground kingdom has been unearthed ever since. About 8000 human sized warriors with unique facial expressions and rank were revealed. More objects like arrows, bronze horses, chariots, swords and many other daily objects were discovered. Now, the museum is divided into mainly three pits which you will visit.
10:00 - 11:00: After the reverence of the Terracotta Army and Horses, you will head to a local cave dwelling family and learn how to make mini-warriors. It’s one of the few places where such an ancient craft is still preserved. Under the master’s instruction, you will make clay warriors just like the ancient people did and you can keep them.
12:00: This half day tour ends here. Your guide will take you back to your hotel.
